The individual benefit limits are:
- The benefit includes meals, in-patient prescriptions, professional charges, investigations, laboratory tests, short stay ward as approved by the Restructured Hospital, high dependency ward stay and other miscellaneous medical charges.
- The benefit pays the surgical fee incurred for major organ transplant for: kidney(s), heart, liver, cornea(s), bone marrow, skin or musculoskeletal tissue.
- This benefit pays when the life assured requires stem cell transplant due to life threatening disorders such as Leukaemia, Thalassemia Major and Lymphoma after not responding to treatment of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.
- Gamma knife/ Novalis Radiosurgery can be performed as an Inpatient or day surgery procedure. The applicable Deductible and pro-ration factor for Gamma Knife/ Novalis Radiosurgery procedure will depend on its classification as an Inpatient or day surgery procedure.
- The Deductible does not apply to Outpatient Hospital benefits.
- This benefit provides coverage for the following Approved Immunosuppressant Drugs:
- Cyclosporin
- Tacrolimus
- Azathioprine tablets
- Mycophenolate mofetil capsules and tablets
- Mycophenolate sodium tablets
- Sirolimus tablet and oral solution
- Daclizumab injection
- Basiliximab injection
- This benefit is a waiver of the Deductible and Co-insurance, under certain conditions, up to the stipulated limits.
- This benefit pays when the following conditions are first diagnosed by an obstetrician after 10 months from the start date of the policy or the date of reinstatement (if any), whichever is later-ectopic pregnancy, pre-eclampsia & eclampsia, disseminated intravascular coagulation or miscarriage.
- This benefit pays for hospitalisation expenses incurred for Medically Necessary treatment relating to birth defects, including hereditary conditions and congenital sickness or abnormalities of the life assured who was first diagnosed by a Registered Medical Practitioner or symptoms first appeared after 2 years from the Cover Start Date of the policy or the date of reinstatement (if any), whichever is later.
- Deductibles will be increased by 50% depending on ward class when life assured is above age 85.
- Pro-ration factors are applied to reduce private hospital bills to A ward equivalents of a Restructured Hospital in the claims computation.
- Policy Year Limit is the annual claim limit for a Policy Year. We will adjust the Policy Year Limit yearly to keep pace with medical costs inflation. This feature does not apply to the Policy Year limits set for the Post-hospitalisation Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Final Expense Provision.
